A Workshop at the secondary school of Minusio

An experience at the secondary school in Minusio, March 17th, 2015.

On a Tuesday morning we met the two illustrators Barbara Boldrini and Giovanni Memo who presented their comic novel “La rosa sepolta” to the students of the secondary school of Minusio, which was conducted in collaboration with COOPI Suisse. The book is about the life of a child soldier. We really appreciated this activity, the writers made us understand with simplicity what it means for children to live and return from war: Sergio, the protagonist of the volume, returns from war and struggles to reintegrate into society. Later the students were divided into groups and each prepared a poster with drawings entitled “Children not Soldiers”.
