The president of the European Parliament visits the transit houses of UNHCR – COOPI in Niamey

On July 18th, 2018, in occasion of his trip to Niger, the President of the European Parliament, Antonio Tajani, got to visit one of the transit houses for refugees and asylum seekers supported by the UNHCR and managed by the international network of COOPI in the capital of Niamey, where he was received by the representatives of the Agency and NGO.

After a brief presentation of the structure and activities on site, Tajani met with some of the guests of the house, who are mainly from Libya and of Somali, Sudanese and Eritrean nationality. I know you have met a bad world. But they are not all like that. We want to help”.
