A celebration fo COOPI Suisse

It was a real moment of sharing on 8 June, the day we celebrated 10 years of COOPI Suisse.

We thank all those who were with us at the San Giuseppe Pastoral Centre in Lugano, where we were able to talk about these intense years of activity together with our President Carla Ricci.

Thanks to the constant presence of our donors, in 10 years we have implemented 38 projects in 13 different countries, directly supporting 254,000 people. An important milestone that now leads us to look forward to new goals to help those in need.

The evening, presented by RSI journalist Daniele Piazza, saw the presence of Giampiero Gianella, from the FOSIT Committee, Claudio Ceravolo, President of the COOPI Foundation, and Sabrina Antorini Massa, Director of the City of Lugano Social Affairs Division.

It continued with an interesting lecture entitled ‘Food Insecurity in Sub-Saharan Africa at the Time of Covid and War’, given by Professor Maria Sassi, Lecturer at the University of Pavia in Food Economics.

It ended with refreshments and music by the Ensemble Magnolie of the Accademia Vivaldi di Locarno: a pleasant moment that also allowed us to personally meet our donors who attended the event.
