The seventh edition of the Human Rights Film Festival of Lugano is about to start

From October 14th to 28th 2020, the Human Rights Film Festival of Lugano will bring cinema to the cities of the Canton Ticino. In addition to Lugano, the traditional venue of the Festival, screenings will also be taking place in Locarno, Mendrisio and Bellinzona allowing a wider audience, including young people, to attend screenings of movies that would otherwise be difficult to see.

Since the beginning COOPI Suisse has been an NGO partner of the Festival, and we are convinced that telling stories of violated human rights through the art of cinema, which speaks to the mind but also to the emotional and empathic dimension of us humans, is a great opportunity to spread and raise awareness.

Despite the limits of gatherings due to the historical period we are living, the Festival once again is able to ensure safe screenings of extremely valuable and engaging movies. The program is available at the following link https://www.festivaldirittiumani.ch/en/
